Trick-or-Treat!

Elie had so much fun trick-or-treating! She yelled and carried on and said trick-or-treat and thank you to everyone. She knocked on all the doors with her magic wand and ran/hopped between every house. Here's some video of our second house, my favorite part is when she gets her bag ready for the candy!

Trick-or-treating with Papa! It took four adults to go trick-or-treating, mostly because we didn't want to miss a thing. She was hilarious and loved it. I will post a video of her trick-or-treating in action.

October 30th

Ocotber 30th was a fun day! First we had a Halloween party at my club. There were about 40 kids, here they are listening to a Halloween story. Elie sat front and center and shrieked and screamed appropriately at the story, she was very funny! Then we went to Grampy's to celebrate his birthday!!! Happy Birthday Grampy!!

2nd Snow Day!!!

More fun in the snow! She was helping Jimmy shovel but got some snow poured on her instead. She calls the the snow "snow bees", cause when it falls it looks like bees, but they stay bees even on the ground. We ended up getting about 2 feet at my mom's house!

The Wildlife Experience

The Wildlife Experience is sort of a museum for animals, here is Elie on our arrival. They have a lot of bronzed animals as you walk in, here she is checking out the beavers.

New Post...finally!

Silly Faces! It's been a long time since I posted. We are all moved into my Mom's house while our's is being built. So I finally found my camera and my sanity enough for a quick blog anyway.

Elie lines her princesses up everywhere she goes. I haven't gotten a good picture f it yet, but she likes ot have a princess tea party with them and line them up with cups and saucers, her Dad is so proud!

I watched McKinley the pther day for a few hours. They had fun not napping (not my choice) and playing with all of Elie's toys.

Butterfly Pavillion

Elie an I went and met Beth and Sam at the Butterfly Pavilion yesterday. It was fun, we got eaten by mosquitoes, and Elie tried to kill endangered butterflies, other then that it was fun hanging out with Bethie and Mr. Sam.

This is were the mosquito attacked, but at least I got a cute picture first!

Dr.'s Appt.

This picture is a blast from the past. It was taken when Elie was about 3 hours old...We had Elie's 2 year check-up today at the doctors. She is 36.75 inches tall (97th%ile), she weighs 27lbs.20oz. (55th%ile) and her head measures at 65th%ile (that stat is for all the Yates)...and she is still PERFECT!!!

Elie and I went and played at a new park today. I had my camera but didn't get any pictures so I thought I would blog these park pictures from her birthday weekend. This just also happens to be the park across the street from our new house! This is the view out of our imaginary, yet to-be-built front door. You walk out the door and, VOILA you are at the park!

This is the the view to the west from the park and out of the west side of our house! It's really going to be a pretty terrible place to live (if they ever start building it)!

Fun with Elmo!

This is a current theme at our house...swimming suit and goggles, but at least this time we are playing in the water. I don't think the floaty will help in the grass though.

MiMi found this Elmo sprinkler at a garage sale. Great present because Elmo+Water=AWESOME FUN!!!

Elie's B-Day Party!

Elie's Arrival! She walked around observing everything with her hands on her hips. I had never seen her do this before.

I think she went own her roller coaster about 1000 times that day and has done it another 5ooo times since!

Officially 2!

After a really fun birthday party last weekend Elie's real birthday was yesterday. We had a pretty low-key day of Elie not napping and climbing out of her crib for the first time. In the evening she opened her presents and we had more cake!

Elie could see her presents out of the door! She got her very own Strider bike and helmet.

And her very own Caterpiller dump truck, she loved them all.

Our New House!

This is just the model home of our new house. We will not be painting our's light poop brown with orange trim.

And our house will be on this dirt lot! Isn't it the most beautiful dirt you've ever seen? Hopefully we'll be in it by Christmas!

Opposites

This video was taken a few weeks ago and I just found it on the camera. Elie has a Winnie the Pooh book that taught her "opposites". She's a pretty smart cookie!

Future 8 & under 25 meter Butterfly Champion! (predictably by the age of 4)! I will teach her to put her goggles on straight by then.

I need to get some video of Elie flutter kicking in her intertube and then you will all be believers!

Her other future is in mountain climbing. Today I found her STANDING ON TOP of the changing table successfully trying to get to a pacifier. I can't say my mother didn't warn, she is my child!

Fun with Karin!

Karin came over to babysit this morning and she loves to play dress up with Elie. I think they had a lot of fun!

Karin gave her these cure piggies. Elie doesn't look like a baby anymore that is for sure, she looks like a little girl in this picture.

And they also played fairy princesses! I love this picture!

Even Elmo got in on the princess action, he got to wear a tutu too! Elmo wear several outfits everyday, we have to change him from swimming suits, to pajamas, and change his diaper. This is his first tutu.

Pain

Here I am about to finish my first tri in over three years. That is not a look of anger on my face, but absoulte pain and misery. I am just glad I finished, cause it wasn't pretty!

4th of July- Elie's 1st firework show!

Elie made it all the way through the Outlaws game to see the fireworks at Invesco Field. She loved them and screamed and ohh-ed and ahh-ed all the way through!

All done working and time to celebrate!

Katherine didn't enjoy the fireworks as much as Elie, she watched the whole thing with her fingers in her ears.

Jimmy's cousin Timmy was in town the other night and we got to have dinner with them. Timmy and his family are going to be moving here soon, we are very excited! I have Elie calling him Uncle Timmy!

Daddy's home!!!

Jimmy got home a day early from his trip, yeah!!! He kind of surprised us, he called when he was already in LA. Elie was very happy to see her Dad and was a big Daddy's girl all day. Of course she had to dress appropriately for him in her favorite Dodgers shirt! Elie with her Aussie presents. We both got Ugg boots and Elie got a stuffed Kanagroo (on the couch) that goes "Boing, Boing" all over the house! (note which feet the boots are on).

Friends...Elie and Katherine had a ball playing together this weekend.

Here they are playing in the woods, I hope Katherine isn't teaching Elie how to pee in the woods.

We made the girls a fort in the bunk beds and they watched Care Bears on the DVD player. This was a great activity, because they were still, quiet and in a different room then the adults.

We took the girls to the Frisco Library and out to lunch. Katherine likes to pull ELie around byt the hand, or by the hood of her sweatshirt.

"Now where the heck is my Dad"?

Wiluna, Western Australia. Later this week he goes to New Zealand. He'll be home a week from tomorrow! My mommy and I are counting the days!

Playgroup!

Everyone came over today and we played with bugs in the backyard. Here's Amy showing Aeva, Elie and James a ladybug on the stick, they all look very intrigued!

Then we played with rolly-poleys, I have to keep Elie from squashing them.

Mimi and I took Elie to meet Diego last Friday. I don't think Elie could tell this was DIego and was not into it. I don't think the cartoon Diego wears that much eyeliner.

The hit of the morning was her "Schwiper" doll and new Dora book!

Bolder Boulder

Elie and I went up to Boulder to Bethie's and watched the pros run the Bolder Boulder on Memorial day. Elie played with Sam's sweet bike, she especially liked putting everyone's helmets on, backwards.We just might have to get her one of these things.

Pool time

Elie's new favorite thing to do is play with the garden hose. This game usually out with her being dressed and slowly progressing to being fully naked playing in her pool, she loved every minute!

Park

We had a play date at the park today, it was supposed to be at the pool but it was too chilly. This is Elie's new preferred way of swinging!
